🐾 Shelters & Rescues

Join Us for Kitties, Canines & Cruisers

Sunday, May 31, 2026

This is more than an adoption event.
It’s a collaborative fundraising rally and community festival designed to support multiple animal welfare organizations β€” all in one powerful day.

Our shared goal:

🏑 100 Adoptions in One Day

🐢 Adoption & Community Festival

πŸ“ The Forge – Lemont
πŸ• 1:00–5:00 PM

The rally concludes with a high-traffic, family-friendly adoption and community festival featuring:

  • Multiple rescue organizations

  • Vendor Village

  • Food trucks

  • Live entertainment

  • Community activities

  • Vendor Passport engagement program

This is where participating rescues will host their adoption booths.

πŸ’° Built-In Fundraising Opportunities

This event is intentionally structured to generate both adoptions and shared financial support.

1️⃣ Rider Support Contributions

Riders select which rescue they are riding for during registration.

πŸ’΅ Each participating organization receives $5 for every rider who designates their rescue.

2️⃣ Peer-to-Peer Fundraising (Collaborative Model)

Riders are encouraged to create fundraising pages and raise funds from their friends, family, and supporters.

All rider-raised funds are pooled together and distributed among participating rescues and shelters.

This collaborative structure allows us to:

  • Maximize overall fundraising impact

  • Support all participating organizations

  • Strengthen the regional rescue community

The more riders we collectively recruit, the larger the shared fundraising pool available for distribution.

3️⃣ Event Merchandise Revenue

Participating rescues who help promote event T-shirt sales through social media, newsletters, or other outreach will receive a portion of pooled merchandise proceeds.

More promotion increases total sales β€” which increases the total funds distributed.

πŸ”” Important: Promotion Matters

Participating rescues are strongly encouraged to promote the rally and recruit riders to participate.

The more riders who register, the greater the fundraising potential for everyone.

This is a collaborative effort β€” and organizations that actively engage their supporters will help drive a stronger overall outcome for the entire rescue community.

πŸ•οΈ Rescue Booth Details

Each participating rescue receives:

βœ”οΈ 10′ x 10′ outdoor adoption booth space
βœ”οΈ Placement within a high-traffic festival layout
βœ”οΈ Inclusion in event marketing and website
βœ”οΈ Access to the Vendor Passport Program (drives engagement)
βœ”οΈ Opportunity to recruit fosters, volunteers, and donors

πŸ’² Participation Fee

Rescue / Shelter Booth Fee: $50

This fee helps offset event infrastructure and logistics.
Contact us about waived fees (some sponsors have opted to cover!)

With rider designation contributions, pooled fundraising, and merchandise revenue, the goal is for participating rescues to recoup their booth fee β€” and more β€” while gaining adoptions and exposure.
